The NELPI Evening Water Forum, "City of Tulsa et al. v. Tyson Foods, Inc. et al." will address issues arising from the recent settlement agreement. Was the settlement fair? How does it work? What was accomplished? Is litigation the best way to clean up the environment? Should the State of Oklahoma sue?
Speakers will include Miles Tolbert, Oklahoma Secretary of Environment; Robert L. Roark, Counsel for Plaintiff; John Everett, Special Master; Scott McDaniel, Counsel for Defendants; Jim Cameron, Chair TMUA; and Harlan Hentges (poultry growers). The forum is free, open to the public, and a reception will follow. It will be held at 7:00 p.m., Thursday, February 3rd, 2005, in the Great Hall at the Allen Chapman Activity Center on the TU campus. Please contact Wendy Buss at 631-2431 or wendy-buss@utulsa.edu if you have questions.
